0423 monochrome

Harleys.
0422 broken

The windshield of this cigarette vendor's truck has a nice spider-web break in it. Judging by the look on the owner's face though, it's in the eye of the beholder.
0421 vertical

With good balance hopefully he'll stay that way.
0420 depth of field
0419 yummy

Goodies on the burner at one of the market's food stands.
0418 curvature

f1.8 was too shallow for a close up, so this is stopped all the way down to f2.5.
0417 candid

f1.8 again, with the sharpest focust on the gentleman as sends his partner on a twirl.
0416 hands

I was inspired by a posting on DPS (and seconded by Sepiana at Elements Village) on shooting wide open, and spent some time yesterday shooting exclusively at f1.8. I had a great time living in a world with a very shallow depth of field. Over the next few days I'll share a few of the shots.

These were dancers at Portland Saturday Market. And here's the link to the DPS page: http://digital-photography-school.com/25-dreamy-images-shot-wide-open
